Welcome to The Boardroom Computer History Page
Thank you for your interest in the history of our company.
The concept of The Boardroom Computer was initialized in 1991 in the
machine shed of Dick and Mary Kaye Tucker, the original owners, as a part-time
venture. In 1995 the Tuckers went full-time and moved from the family machine shed
to downtown Manchester, IA.
As the business grew, in 1997 The Boardroom Computer moved to it's current
location at 116 E Main St in Manchester, right next door to the theater.
On March 13, 2001 the business was sold to Bob and Donna Dolan. Even though
the owners have changed, the commitment to great customer service continues. In August of 2003,
Paul McCubbin, a West Delaware Graduate, came on board as The Boardrooms Certified Technician.
In the Summer of 2005, thanks to the Manchester City Downtown Incentive Program, we were able to
replace our old vinyl siding with a nice brick front and new sign.
Starting this Fall we will have our new classroom up and running. Complete with eight computers loaded with Windows Xp Professional and Microsoft Xp Office Software. Classes will begin sometime in late October to early November. When the classroom is not being used for classes we will have it available for a gaming center. Please call or email us at boardrm@n-connect.net for availability times.
